What you can do with the Barigadam Line Follower

The Barigadam Line Follower is a dual-sensor analog line detector powered from 5 V. It is tuned for lines about 20 mm wide and works best at a distance of roughly 5–30 mm above the surface, both for black-on-white and white-on-black tracks.

Typical projects

Classic line-following robots for competitions and practice.
Maze-solving and track navigation robots with analog PID control.
Industrial-style conveyors and triggers based on line marks.

Compatible controllers

Arduino Mega / Uno and similar 5 V boards (2× analog inputs).
Custom WRO-style controllers with analog input channels.
Other 3.3 V or 5 V controllers when wired according to the datasheet.

Best practices

Keep the sensor 5–30 mm above the surface for stable readings.
Tune thresholds and PID using the raw analog values from both outputs.
Avoid strong ambient IR sources and shiny surfaces, or shield the sensor mechanically.
